Press Release

Fridays For Future

International Youth Climate Podcast – Release Episode 3

The Fridays For Future demands around The world

Fridays for future, a movement who has been in the news for quite some time now.

It is a movement, that started with teenagers, who make their voices heard through skipping school and demonstrations on the streets. The young people these days have massive worries about their future, which might be destroyed by climate change and the politicians not acting upon the climate crisis.

Up until today, several FridaysForFuture movements around the globe released demands to their government. They demand the politics to do something about the danger of the climate crisis.

These demands are one of the main motivations to keep on striking for us.

“ We, the youth, and all future generations will be suffering through the climate crisis. This Is why i have the right to strike and to fight against the current politics. Because our house is on fire and our future will be destroyed if nothing changes.” – Anny, Germany

Now, we the International Youth Climate Podcast are going to relase an episode where we collected demands to 20 countries and present them in our Podcast. To show the world, what fridays for future is about and what their motivation is – around the globe!

So we want to invite the Press and everyone else around the globe, to go to our website international-youth-climate-podcast.com/Epsiode3 at 23:00 CET (central european time) and listen to this important episode. We would also be grateful if you could let people know about us to let more people profit from the knowledge and information we have to offer.

But who are we?

We are a non profit project composed by kids between 12 and 23, started by a 17 year old.

We all are students in high school or university and participating in FridaysForFuture/Schoolstrike for climate. We are from Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA, just to name a few countries! We are of different age, knowledge, language, religion and character. However, we have one common goal which is to save our earth! But we don’t want  to become heroes like superwoman, batman or the guardians of the galaxy: we just want to save our future.

We started this project with the belief that we need two things as weapons to fight against the inactive leaders and a society which is still denying climate change: school strikes taking place every friday and knowledge.

Knowing actual, concrete facts means we can argue against the people who want to destroy our future with their inactivity. Against our parents and teachers who do not want us to go striking and against the leaders and companies who do not start acting. What we need is an environmental education based on facts and on science. Because the scientists are desperately telling us that we need to act and that we have to do it now!

And this is why we are here.
We are kids, who want to explain the youth and everyone who is interested facts about climate change. So they can argue against their parents and leaders.

We release one climate fact based episode every friday at 23:00 CET.

They are about 30-45 minutes long. And can be found on our website International-youth-climate-podcast.com as well as on yotube, soundcloud, spotify and deezer.

Till then
